UNICC

The University of Queensland Cycling Club is based at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. The club enjoys an enviable reputation as one of Australia’s leading clubs and has produced a number of Olympic, Commonwealth and National Champions over the years.

Anyone can join the UNICC, you don't have to be a student. We have a range of members from elite to masters with a large number of social riders in between. Riders of all abilities are welcome.

Joining a club has a number of benefits including licencing from Cycling Queensland (allowing you to race and also providing some insurance cover), training, coaching, people to ride with, a lifestyle and a social network.

Uni was very well represented over the weekend of at Chandler, luckily the weather stayed away though the results poured in from the club's riders.

Some results were:

Jacko: ITT - GOLD (State Record!), Sprint - Silver, Scratch - 4th.

Wayne: Sprint - Silver, Scratch - Bronze.

Truck: Individual Pursuit - Bronze.

Paolo: Teams Pursuit - GOLD.

Hickson: Teams Pursuit - GOLD.

Rowdy: Paolo: Teams Pursuit - GOLD, Individual Pursuit - Silver.

MAGOO: many PB's, but unfortunately no medals.

Drago: Scratch - GOLD.

Mascott: Individual Pursuit - Silver, Sprint - Bronze, Teams Pursuit - Gold, ITT - 5th, Scratch - 4th.

Congratulations all!

Good numbers rolled out to Nundah for the Second race of the UniCC World Cup.

A grade was once again taken out by Mark Frendo (who recently returned from the Tour of Wellington) follwed by Manson, Hanson, Pirate and Pontif.

B grade saw a high tempo race taken out by new riders Andrew Mathiesen then Mark Watts, Jacko took third from Justin Claridge and fifth was Wayne Adams.

Ladies grade was hotly contested with Stef beating home Nicole then Dom.
