Welcome to The University of Queensland Cycling Club!

The University of Queensland Cycling Club is based at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. The club enjoys an enviable reputation as one of Australia’s leading clubs and has produced a number of Olympic, Commonwealth and National Champions over the years.

Anyone can join the UNICC, you don't have to be a student. We have a range of members from elite to masters with a large number of social riders in between. Riders of all abilities are welcome.

Joining a club has a number of benefits including licencing from Cycling Queensland (allowing you to race and also providing some insurance cover), training, coaching, people to ride with, a lifestyle and a social network.

UniCC Track Day

This year UNICC will host a come and try track day for all current UNICC members. This event is FREE for all current UNICC members. This is aimed at people who are keen to try track cycling however don't have the means to.

Non-UNICC members may also come at a fee of $5.50 per person, this fee covers your insurance for the session.

Details are as follows:

Date: 27.02.2010

Time: Starts at 6.45am sharp

Location: Meet at Chandler Velodrome here

Experienced UNICC track riders will be there to give a introduction to track cycling.

The club has organized hire bikes in ALL sizes, so you dont even need a bike! After induction and some practice rides there will be some simulation races for the new riders.

The club has also agreed to host a BBQ following this event, so you get free breakfast also!

All you need to bring is your shoes, pedals and kit (clothing). We will provide the bikes.There will be a few club members heading out so if you need a lift to Chandler just post something on the forum.

I need to get a indication of numbers (for the BBQ) so please log onto the forum and register you interest.

Ronde van Vlaanderen Wrap up

Good numbers rolled out to Nundah for the Second race of the UniCC World Cup.

A grade was once again taken out by Mark Frendo (who recently returned from the Tour of Wellington) follwed by Manson, Hanson, Pirate and Pontif.

B grade saw a high tempo race taken out by new riders Andrew Mathiesen then Mark Watts, Jacko took third from Justin Claridge and fifth was Wayne Adams.

Ladies grade was hotly contested with Stef beating home Nicole then Dom.

UniCC Ronde van Vlaanderen

This Saturday UNICC hosts the second race in the 2010 UNICC World Cup, the Ronde van Vlaanderen, a.k.a The Tour of Flanders and if this rain doesn't clear conditions could be similar to the real thing!

Meet at the Regatta for a 6am roll out to Nundah.

Please note: You may only race if you hold a current 2010 Racing licence, you will not be able to race if you have a 'Recreational' license.

We hope to see you all there.

A - Frendo, Fluff, Freddo, Truck then Manson

B - Milsey, Felto, Marc Byrant, Pruss, Jacko

F - Stef, Nerida
