All riders participating in club events must become a club member. There are two basic options, 'Recreational', or 'Elite' or 'Masters'. The former is allowed to do all club events except competitive races. If you are interested in racing with the club or in other Cycling Queensland events you must choose the full licence options of 'Elite' or 'Masters'. This covers personal accident and public liability insurance for races and training to make sure everything is legit (full details of the insurance can be found on the Cycling Australia website).
How To
New and current members are strongly recommended to sign up on the Cycling Australia website. Payment may be made by credit card, membership is instantaneous (allowing you to race straight away!) and you will minimise the risk of your membership being lost between UQSport -> Club Exec -> Cycling Queensland -> Cycling Australia.
